System requirements:

Because of OpenGL basis ALife ScreenSaver requires any OpenGL compatible video accelerator (all N-Vidia, ATI, etc.) and because of number of operations with big matrices - processor at operating frequence 600 MHz or above.

The screensaver will also work on computers without video accelerator, although its quality and especially speed may suffer, depending on the speed of processor.

In this case please pay attention that ALife ScreenSaver has a number of different performance options (Lighting , Field Size, etc.) and you can experiment with them to achieve better performance.
